New appointments at Stanlib09 Feb 10Stanlib has announced a number of new senior appointments. They include a new Chief Investment Officer, a new Head of Research a new Head of Credit Research and a new Small and Mid Caps Fund Manager.
Stewart Rider has been appointed as Chief Investment Officer. He has occupied this role over the past few months and was previously at Liberty for five years. Before this time he was an insurance analyst at Merrill Lynch between 1998 and 2004. Andrew Vintcent, Kate Rushton and Shawn Stockigt have been appointed as Head of Research, Head of Credit Research (Fixed Income) and Small & Mid Caps Fund Manager respectively. This follows the appointment of Herman van Velze as balanced fund manager late last year. Andrew Vintcent was previously at RMB Asset Management, where he has been for the past eleven years as a Portfolio Manager and Head of the Financial Team. Shawn Stockigt is an acknowledged expert in the Small and Mid Cap share arena and will take over managing the STANLIB Small Cap Fund. He was previously at Sanlam, Gryphon Asset Management and Abvest Asset Management. Prior to joining Stanlib, Kate Rushton was the Principal Corporate and Credit Analyst at ABSA Capital. Rushton has extensive experience in financial analysis in various roles including working at London-based UBS Warburg’s Investment Banking Division and more recently as Corporate and Credit Analyst at Standard Corporate and Investment Bank (SCMB). She will head up the credit process at STANLIB, with credit having become a key component of most fixed interest portfolios. |
