Many Equinox clients are phoning our call center to enquire about investing in Retirement Annuity investments in the current tax year, which ends on 29 February 2008. To take advantage of the tax benefits in the current tax year, money has to reflect in the Equinox Retirement Annuity Fund bank account on or before the 29th February. Banks can take over two days to transfer money, so waiting until the 29th to transfer money might be too late. We would therefore advise that clients wishing to take advantage of the tax deductibility of RAs in the current tax year should transfer money to our RA bank account by Wednesday 27th February to ensure that it reflects by Friday 29th February. This will enable us to process the contribution within the current tax year. RA investment money should be paid into the following bank account: Bank: First National Bank Investors should use their user names as a reference on the deposits. Please complete the enclosed RA application and fax it to the Equinox offices at the same time. Fax number 27 (0)11 388 3223. |
