  • Anton Ossip of Investment Solutions reiterates some sound principles that all investors should heed
  • Louis Stassen of Coronation discusses the increasing popularity of alternative investment strategies and absolute return funds
  • Arno Lawrenz of OMAM delves into the art and science of managing a Fixed Interest portfolio
  • And our own Liz Still questions the cost/benefit equation of the range of new legislation and tax requirements that the financial services industry has to comply with. There is much merit in the spirit of the legislation, but in a country where we desperately need to promote a culture of investment and saving, the costs may prove to be far more onerous than a mere increase in fees.

Investments seeking absolute returns gain favour

Past performance is no guarantee of future performance: Jeremy Gardiner
With the Amnesty Period now in full swing, there is much debate raging around the merits or de-merits of coming clean. I do not profess in any way to be an expert on the amnesty, and therefore am not going to say much on the subject.
