Subject:Christmas Reading! The rand, commodities, US, China...
Date:24 Dec 03

A final wrap up for what has been a hugely interesting year. It's great to end on an upward note - most of our investors have experienced excellent growth in the last couple of quarters, and we expect this trend to continue, albeit a little slower perhaps, in the new year.

We believe that our Managed Portfolios have the right mix of investment managers and styles to take advantage of the opportunities that do exist in the markets.

We have some excellent reading for you to peruse and digest over the holiday period - Liz Still looks at hedge funds, and discusses retirement planning with Allan Gray's Barend Ritter, Oxford University's Andrea Boltho reasons why the US will continue to dominate world affairs, some new age thoughts from Glenn Silverman of Investment Solutions, and RE:CM's Piet Viljoen on why commodity prices are rising despite a weak US-Euro demand.

May we wish you all a great festive season.
