Fund Overview

Objectives: The Grindrod Global Property Income Fund is a South African domiciled rand denominated fund which aims to generate high distributions. Like other property funds, investors could also benefit from capital appreciation in the property sector, as property prices increase.

Benchmark: EPRA/NAREIT Global Index USD (EPNAGI)

Universe: The fund manager is mandated to invest in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS) and funds of REITS. These investments are located primarily in the developed markets of North America, Australia and Asia. However the fund manager is not pre-cluded from investing in developing markets when compelling investment opportunities become available.

Fund strategy: This fund was launched to take advantage of opportuniteis in global real estate markets, which generally offer attractive yields, diversification, exposure to first world currencies, long term capital appreciation and monthly distributions.

Other: Monthly distributions are paid out of the net proceeds received from investments. Benchmark notes: EPRA = European Public Real Estate, NAREIT = National Association of Real Estate Investment. It is a Total Return index which is appropriate for comparing the performance of property investments.
